GH2 Solar, a leading renewable energy firm and one of five Indian companies selected under the government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for green hydrogen and electrolyser manufacturing, has announced a ₹400 crore green hydrogen electrolyser manufacturing facility in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The project is being developed in partnership with South Korea-based AHES.
Located in Pipersewa, Morena district, the facility will launch with an annual production capacity of 105 MW, backed by a ₹157.5 crore PLI subsidy. The capacity is planned to scale up to 500 MW by 2030, contributing to the goals of the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
In its first phase, GH2 Solar will invest ₹100 crore to establish a 3 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) assembly line. The remaining ₹300 crore will support phased expansion of electrolyser manufacturing capabilities.
The project is expected to create over 300 direct green energy jobs and will receive support from Invest India and the Skill Council for Green Jobs.
“This facility positions India as a global hub for green hydrogen,” said Anuraj Jain, CEO of GH2 Solar. Prof. Joong-Hee Lee of AHES Ltd added, “Our advanced electrolyser technology will enhance India’s green energy infrastructure and accelerate the clean energy transition.”
