Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has established a new wholly-owned subsidiary, Panipat Green Hydrogen, to spearhead the development of green hydrogen projects and related business activities, the company announced in a recent stock exchange filing.
This move reinforces L&T’s growing focus on clean energy solutions. The company had earlier secured land in Kandla, Gujarat, for upcoming green hydrogen and green ammonia projects. These initiatives are in line with India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission, which promotes hydrogen as a clean, sustainable fuel—particularly for sectors like transportation and heavy industry.
The incorporation of Panipat Green Hydrogen highlights L&T’s commitment to future-ready technologies and its role in advancing India’s energy transition, as the country intensifies efforts to cut carbon emissions and build a greener economy.
