Grew Energy Powers Up J&K: ₹4,500 Crore Module Facility Planned

Grew Energy is making waves with its announcement to invest Rs 4,500 crore in constructing a cutting-edge 3.2 GW module manufacturing facility in the Kathua region of Jammu & Kashmir. This sprawling facility, spanning 80 acres, will be dedicated to producing high-efficiency modules and solar components, bolstering India's renewable energy sector.

Once operational, the Kathua facility will have the capacity to churn out 3.2 GW of high-efficiency modules annually, along with an additional 2.8 GW of ingots, wafers, and cells. This substantial manufacturing capacity is poised to play a pivotal role in advancing the country's clean energy objectives.

Moreover, this ambitious project is expected to be a catalyst for job creation in Jammu & Kashmir, providing employment opportunities and fostering socio-economic development in the region.

With the Kathua facility joining forces with Grew Energy's existing 2.8 GW module manufacturing facility in Jaipur, the company is set to achieve a remarkable milestone by attaining a total manufacturing capacity of six GW for modules and 2.8 GW for solar components by fiscal year 2025. This strategic expansion solidifies Grew Energy's commitment to driving sustainable innovation and propelling India towards a greener future.
