Karnataka's Wind Power Revolution: 100 Turbines to Power 300 MW by 2025

Envision Energy is set to provide approximately 100 turbines with a capacity of 3.3 MW each for a 300-MW onshore wind initiative in Karnataka. The project, scheduled for completion by the end of 2025, is a collaboration between investment fund Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and Viviid Renewables. The turbine supply agreement involves the delivery of 95-100 EN 156 3.3 MW turbines by Envision Wind Power Technologies India.

CIP, a Denmark-based fund manager specializing in greenfield renewable energy investments, will oversee the project's establishment in partnership with Viviid Renewables in Karnataka. Viviid will manage balance-of-plant (BoP) works and services while maintaining a minority ownership stake in the venture.

This collaborative effort aligns with Envision's enduring commitment to advancing dependable renewable energy solutions in India, contributing to a sustainable future. Envision Energy specializes in the design, manufacturing, and operation of intelligent wind turbines and energy storage systems, with an additional focus on providing green hydrogen solutions. As a major player in onshore wind globally, CIP reinforces its leadership role in greenfield RE investments through initiatives like this one in Karnataka.
