Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) has recently announced a significant series of orders valued between ₹2,500 crore to ₹5,000 crore, as disclosed in the company's recent filing with the stock exchange. These orders have been secured by L&T's power transmission and distribution (PT&D) business and encompass a diverse range of projects spanning domestic and Middle Eastern markets.
Notably, among the substantial orders acquired is the contract for the development of a 75MW Floating Solar PV plant on the Panchet Dam. This initiative forms a crucial component of the Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Park, a project underway on Damodar Valley Corporation reservoirs in Jharkhand and West Bengal.
In Saudi Arabia, L&T has been awarded a contract for the turnkey construction of a 380kV Substation. Furthermore, the company has secured contracts for substation and voltage conversion projects from hydrocarbon companies in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Additionally, L&T has added to its portfolio with an additional order for the ongoing 220kV Power Supply Project in the UAE.
These achievements underscore L&T's sustained excellence and strategic expansion within the power sector, reinforcing its stature as a premier player in the industry, both domestically and globally.
