PFC Sells Two Power Arms in ₹42 Crore Strategic Move

Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has completed the transfer of two wholly owned subsidiaries of its arm, PFC Consulting Limited, to successful bidders, with the transactions finalised on 3 February 2026.

The transferred entities include SR and ER Power Transmission, which is responsible for strengthening inter-regional power transmission between the Southern and Eastern grids, and has been acquired by Power Grid Corporation of India for ₹19.63 crore. The second subsidiary, Morena I SEZ Transmission, developed to evacuate power from renewable energy projects in the Morena SEZ of Madhya Pradesh (Phase I, 2,500 MW), has been acquired by Enerica Infra 1 for ₹22.35 crore.

A PFC spokesperson said the transfers are part of the company’s strategy to optimise its portfolio while supporting the efficient development of power infrastructure across the country. The move aligns with PFC’s broader objective of improving operational efficiency, unlocking value from its subsidiaries, and contributing to the expansion of India’s power transmission and renewable energy networks to ensure reliable and sustainable energy supply across regions.
