Stalin's Power Play: ₹110 Cr Substation Opens in North Chennai.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated a 230/33 kV gas-insulated substation at Ganesh Nagar, built by TANGEDCO under the North Chennai Development Scheme at a cost of ₹110 crore.

The inauguration took place during his visit to the Kolathur Assembly constituency. The new substation is expected to strengthen power infrastructure and improve supply reliability in North Chennai, supporting residential and industrial growth.

In addition to the power infrastructure launch, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a water dispensing unit at a social justice hostel and distributed sports materials to students, reaffirming the government’s focus on integrated development and welfare.

He was joined by senior ministers including K.N. Nehru, S.S. Sivasankar, P.K. Sekarbabu, and Siva V. Meyyanathan, along with Chennai Mayor R. Priya, MPs Kalanidhi Veeraswamy, R. Girirajan, and MLAs Thayagam Kavi, A. Vetriazhagan, Joseph Samuel, and other officials.
