Two of India’s leading battery energy storage companies, Statcon Energiaa and Su-vastika, have formed a strategic alliance to accelerate the transition to advanced lithium-based backup power systems in both domestic and international markets.
The partnership leverages Statcon Energiaa’s strengths in battery storage and solar inverter technologies, combined with Su-vastika’s innovation-driven portfolio, including patented lithium battery solutions and specialised inverter systems. “My vision is clear—to eliminate the need for diesel generators across residential and commercial sectors by providing reliable and efficient battery storage solutions,” said Kunwer Sachdev, Su-vastika founder and widely regarded as the ‘Inverter Man of India’.
Backed by Rotomag Enertec, the alliance aims to replace legacy lead-acid systems with modern lithium-ion technologies, supporting India’s broader decarbonisation and energy transition goals.
India’s battery storage market is expected to surge from USD 7.8 billion in 2024 to over USD 32 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of nearly 27%, making this partnership timely and strategically significant.
