Suzlon Scores Big! Bags Massive 551 MW Wind Project from Aditya Birla

Suzlon Energy Ltd witnessed a surge of 3.84 per cent in its shares following the announcement of securing a substantial 551.25 MW wind power project from the esteemed Aditya Birla group. This milestone project entails the installation of 175 wind turbine generators, each boasting a capacity of 3.15 MW, spread across two strategic sites: 368.55 MW in Barmer, Rajasthan, and 182.70 MW in Bhuj, Gujarat.

The generated power will be harnessed by various Aditya Birla group companies, underscoring their commitment to sustainable energy practices. Suzlon, in addition to project execution, will be responsible for the crucial post-commissioning operations and maintenance, ensuring seamless functioning of the wind power infrastructure.

With a targeted aim to provide electricity to approximately 4.54 lakh households, this initiative is projected to make a significant impact on reducing carbon dioxide emissions, estimated at around 1.792 million tonnes annually. Such endeavors align closely with India's broader objectives of transitioning towards cleaner energy sources and mitigating environmental impacts.

Jayant Dua, Business Head and Director of Aditya Birla Renewables Limited, emphasized the strategic significance of partnerships in advancing the country's renewable energy agenda. He highlighted Suzlon's expertise in technology, manufacturing, and project development as instrumental in accelerating Aditya Birla group's energy transition journey and supporting their ambitious net-zero commitments.

This positive development propelled Suzlon Energy Ltd's shares to rise by 3.84 per cent to ₹45 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) at 11:25 am, reflecting investor confidence in the company's growth trajectory and its pivotal role in fostering sustainable energy solutions for India's future.
