TDK’s ₹4,000 Cr Bet on Haryana’s Clean Energy Future

TDK Corporation has announced plans to invest up to ₹4,000 crore in Haryana, signalling strong global interest in India’s growing energy storage sector.

The announcement was made during the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026, where a TDK delegation met with Nayab Singh Saini and Manohar Lal to discuss expansion plans focused on advanced energy solutions.

The proposed investment will be directed toward establishing a battery energy storage system (BESS) facility, aimed at supporting India’s renewable energy growth by enabling efficient storage of solar and wind power.

TDK already operates a ₹3,000 crore lithium-ion battery manufacturing plant in Sohna and is now looking to scale up its presence in the state. The planned BESS unit is expected to enhance grid stability and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

In addition, the company is exploring potential investments in AI-driven data centres, reflecting a broader strategy to integrate digital infrastructure with energy solutions. The initiative is expected to generate employment and strengthen Haryana’s position as a hub for clean energy manufacturing.
