The Jindal Group is evaluating locations across nine states, including Gujarat and Odisha, to establish a massive 18 GW nuclear power portfolio. Representing an investment of lakhs of crores, this expansion aligns with the Indian government's target of reaching 100 GW of nuclear capacity by 2047.
To anchor this long-term clean energy strategy, the conglomerate is currently negotiating with domestic and international partners to secure advanced nuclear power technologies. The initiative marks the group's formal entry into India's emerging private nuclear sector, driving both corporate diversification and national decarbonisation goals.
