Voltage on the Rise: Kanohar Electricals Expands Gangol Facility

Kanohar Electricals is expanding transformer manufacturing capacity through a brownfield expansion at its Gangol facility in Uttar Pradesh, with the programme planned for completion over the next 18 months.

The capex-led initiative will include new machinery and equipment, automation of backward integration processes, construction and interior development of a new office building, and operational efficiency improvements. The company is also deploying solar power plants across its manufacturing facilities as part of its sustainability initiatives.

With orders already secured in the high-demand 400kV transformer segment, Kanohar Electricals is also technically equipped to manufacture 765kV transformers, which it sees as a key driver of long-term growth.
