Waaree Approves ₹8,175 Cr. Clean Energy Expansion

Waaree Energies’ board has approved a capital expenditure plan of ₹8,175 crore to scale up manufacturing capacities across three of its clean energy subsidiaries, as part of its strategic push into high-growth segments of the energy transition.

The bulk of the investment—₹8,000 crore—will go to Waaree Energy Storage Solutions to expand its lithium-ion advanced chemistry cell and battery energy storage systems (BESS) capacity from 3.5 GWh to 20 GWh.

Under Waaree Clean Energy Solutions, the company will invest ₹125 crore to increase electrolyser manufacturing capacity from 300 MW to 1,000 MW, supporting the green hydrogen ecosystem.

Additionally, Waaree Power will receive ₹50 crore to expand its inverter manufacturing capacity from 3 GW to 4 GW.

These expansions aim to enhance Waaree’s clean energy manufacturing footprint to meet rising demand across both domestic and global markets, reinforcing its position in India’s rapidly evolving renewable energy sector.
