Eastern Railway has issued a tender for the construction of a new rail line between Godda station (excluding) and Mahagama station (including), as part of the broader Pirpainti–Jasidih new line project under its jurisdiction. This initiative aims to strengthen regional rail infrastructure and enhance both passenger and freight connectivity.
The scope of work covers the section from km 32.439 to km 60.000 and includes comprehensive civil engineering, permanent way (P. Way), electrification, signaling, and telecommunication works necessary for track laying and operational readiness.
Valued at ₹531.23 crore, the contract seeks to engage qualified contractors with proven expertise in executing large-scale, multi-disciplinary railway infrastructure projects. The development is expected to catalyze socio-economic growth in the region through improved mobility and logistics support.
The deadline for bid submission is 17 October 2025.
