Central Railway Calls for Bids: Betul Goods Shed Gets Upgrade!

Central Railway has initiated a tender for significant improvements to the KRSP goods shed in Betul, Madhya Pradesh. The project involves enhancing the loading and unloading platform surface with concrete, constructing an approach road, and ensuring proper illumination throughout the area. This comprehensive upgrade aims to streamline operations and improve safety and efficiency.

The planned enhancements also include the construction of essential facilities for merchants and laborers, such as rooms, a goods office equipped with toilets, and a drinking water facility. Additionally, a warehouse or covered shed will be erected to provide adequate storage solutions. To further ensure safety and security, high mast lighting and a boundary wall with advanced security features will be installed.

The initiative extends to the Maramjhiri goods shed, where the existing half line will be augmented to a full line by constructing a new goods shed platform. These upgrades are designed to bolster the handling capacity and operational efficiency of the goods shed, catering to the increasing demands of the region's logistics and transport needs.

The comprehensive project is projected to cost Rs 33.92 crore and is expected to be completed within a span of 24 months. This substantial investment underscores Central Railway's commitment to enhancing infrastructure and supporting economic growth in the Betul district and the broader Amla-Chhindwara section.

With these improvements, Central Railway aims to provide a more efficient and secure environment for the handling of goods, benefiting local businesses and contributing to the overall development of the region. The project's completion will mark a significant milestone in the modernization of railway infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh.
