Gurgaon Metro Goes Mega: Inside the ₹10,428 Cr Expansion

Gurgaon’s metro expansion has cleared a major milestone with a detailed project report (DPR) for a new 35-km corridor awaiting approval from the Haryana Chief Minister. Estimated at ₹10,428 crore, the 28-station network will connect Sector 56 on Golf Course Extension Road to Pachgaon on the Delhi–Jaipur Highway, seamlessly linking key hubs across Gurgaon and Manesar.

A standout feature is a dedicated station within HSIIDC’s 1,000-acre Global City project, backed by a ₹1,500 crore commitment from the corporation. To boost regional connectivity, the corridor features critical interchange points with the Rapid Metro, two proposed Namo Bharat corridors, and the future Bhondsi–Rajiv Chowk line. Funded through a mix of central equity (10%), state equity (20%), and institutional loans, the project is poised to drastically reduce traffic congestion and enhance urban mobility.
