Metro Line 12A Approved: ₹13,856 Cr Push for MMR Infrastructure

In a major infrastructure push for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), the Maharashtra Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure—led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis—has approved the ₹13,856.37 crore Metro Line 12A project.

Spanning 18.40 km with 12 elevated stations, the corridor connects Manpada–Katai Naka to Taloja via Kalyan Phata and incorporates a 6.93-km four-lane integrated flyover. Targeted for completion in three-and-a-half years, the project will slash travel times by up to 50%, cater to nearly 4.74 lakh daily riders, and significantly enhance connectivity between Kalyan-Dombivli and Navi Mumbai's industrial hubs.
