Nagpur Metro Invites Bidders to Elevate Phase-2 with E&M Works

Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) has initiated a tender for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) systems encompassing 12 Stations within Reach-2 extension and 2 Depots under the Nagpur Metro Rail Project, Phase-2.

Objective:
The contract aims at constructing, completing, testing, and commissioning Permanent Works by the contractor, inclusive of design, construction, removal of Temporary Works, and rectification of defects within the specified timeframe and standards as per the Contract.

General:
The execution of Permanent Works must align with the core requirements outlined in the Employer’s Requirements-Functional, maintaining the highest engineering standards using proven contemporary practices. The specifications shall not fall below the standards defined in the Design Basis Report and Technical/Construction Specifications in the Tender Documents, as per the Engineer’s judgment.

Construction procedures must adhere to the Contractor’s established Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental management plans. The Contractor holds responsibility for acquiring all necessary approvals from relevant public/government/local/statutory agencies for designing and constructing the works.

Scope of Works:
The scope encompasses E&M works covering Electrical, HVAC, Fire Fighting, Fire detection, and related civil works at 12 stations within Reach-02 and other reaches with civil access within the contract's completion period. Detailed designs and structural drawings for permanent structures fall under the Engineer's purview.

E&M Works:
The Contractor’s responsibilities encompass providing a comprehensive E&M, Fire Fighting, Fire Suppression, VAC system, DG Sets, and BMS/SCADA systems, including necessary interfacing with other contractors. The Contractor must procure statutory approvals and provide training to NMRCL staff for the systems. Maintenance of systems for a 2-year Defect Liability period is also mandatory.

Submittal of Data:
Before any purchase or manufacturing operation, the Contractor must submit complete information to the client/consultant regarding materials and equipment involved. Any operations conducted before client approval are the Contractor’s sole responsibility.

Eligibility:
Bidders must showcase an average annual financial turnover meeting a minimum of 30% of the estimated cost over the last three years. Additionally, substantial experience in E&M works contracts until 31st March 2023 is a prerequisite.

Work Experience:
The Contractor should have successfully completed similar works meeting specific financial criteria in the last five years before the invitation for applications, showcasing substantial experience in executing similar contracts.
