Railway clears projects for multi-modal hub in Indore

The Union Railway Ministry has approved a number of projects totaling thousands of crores to transform Indore into Madhya Pradesh's financial hub.

The railway minister emphasized that Indore is being transformed into a major railway hub. Big ticket initiatives are presently ongoing to boost Indore's reputation as a significant railway nerve core.

These projects include the extension of new railway lines within the city in six different directions, the doubling of existing railway lines, and gauge conversions. The Ratlam-Indore-Mhow-Khandwa-Akola rail line, the Indore-Manmad rail line, the Indore-Dahod rail line, and the Indore-Jabalpur rail line are among these initiatives.

The minister also emphasized the ongoing efforts to improve the quality of the main railway station and Laxmibai Nagar railway station, with the goal of upgrading them to worldwide standards.
