Tata Power Delhi Distribution (Tata Power-DDL) and the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate the construction of the proposed 136.3-km Delhi-Panipat-Karnal Namo Bharat corridor.
The agreement outlines the supervision and execution of utility-shifting work for electrical infrastructure affected by the project, which includes 38 extra-high-voltage transmission lines, transformers, and related equipment. Scheduled to be completed within one year of commencement, the relocation process involves multiple stakeholders—including BSES, Power Grid, and BBMB—and is closely tracked via the Government of India’s Project Monitoring Group portal.
Once built, the corridor will feature 21 stations (6 in Delhi and 15 in Haryana) across its route, with 124.82 km of the alignment being elevated.
