Titagarh Rails in ₹91 Cr Locomotive Contract

Titagarh Rail Systems has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) for the supply of complete shell assemblies for WAG-9HC locomotives. Valued at ₹91.12 crore (inclusive of GST), this contract marks a significant addition to Titagarh’s expanding railway manufacturing portfolio.

This order underscores BLW’s confidence in Titagarh’s engineering capabilities and proven track record in delivering complex, high-value components for Indian Railways. The WAG-9HC is among Indian Railways’ most advanced freight locomotives, and the contract plays a key role in supporting the nation’s railway modernisation initiatives.

Project execution is scheduled to be completed by 31 August 2026, reinforcing Titagarh’s commitment to timely delivery and quality manufacturing. The development is poised to positively influence the company’s growth trajectory and further strengthen its position within the Indian railway ecosystem.
