Tracks to Progress: Hyderabad Metro’s Phase II & III Ambition

A. Revanth Reddy has urged the Centre to fast-track approval for the second phase of the Hyderabad Metro Rail project during his recent visit to New Delhi.

The Telangana Chief Minister met Manohar Lal Khattar and sought early clearance for the Phase II metro expansion aimed at improving public transport infrastructure in Hyderabad.

Reddy also appealed for central assistance for the proposed Phase III expansion, which is expected to link Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad with the planned Future City region.

The proposed metro extensions are expected to strengthen urban mobility, improve connectivity across key growth corridors, and support Hyderabad’s long-term infrastructure and economic development goals.
