The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has approved the launch of Housing Scheme 2025, offering 177 residential flats for middle- and lower-income groups through e-auction. The scheme also includes 67 car/scooter garages and will feature premium housing units in key locations such as Vasant Kunj, Dwarka, Rohini, Pitampura, Jasola, and Ashoka Pahari, among others.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor V. K. Saxena on July 11. Alongside the housing initiative, the DDA approved significant policy reforms aimed at reviving Delhi’s commercial real estate sector and drawing large-scale investments.
A key highlight of the reforms is the drastic reduction in amalgamation charges for commercial properties—from 10% to just 1% of the circle rate. This move is expected to incentivize developers to consolidate smaller land parcels for large-scale commercial projects.
A DDA spokesperson noted, “High amalgamation costs were one of the biggest deterrents for developers in Delhi. By reducing these charges, we aim to unlock the potential for new commercial development across the city.”
These measures mark a strategic push to not only expand housing accessibility but also accelerate economic activity through revitalized infrastructure and real estate investment.
