Mumbai-based real estate firm Arkade Developers is set to foray into the second-home segment with a large-scale plotted and villa development in the Karjat–Neral belt, located within driving distance of Mumbai.
Spread across 80–100 acres, the project will offer premium-yet-affordable second-home options tailored for aspirational buyers. Residential plots are expected to start at around ₹50 lakh, while 3BHK villas will be priced at approximately ₹1 crore. Chairman and Managing Director Amit Jain projects a topline of ₹500 crore from the venture, citing robust margins despite the relatively modest revenue estimate. The development is positioned to attract lifestyle-focused buyers seeking leisure homes close to Mumbai.
The move taps into rising demand for curated second-home communities, especially in weekend destinations like Karjat and Neral. According to local brokers, options in the ₹50 lakh range are limited, with few organised offerings available. Buyers in this segment often turn to Grade B developers, purchasing plots for around ₹20 lakh and allocating another ₹30 lakh for construction and approvals, typically for 2BHK homes.
Arkade’s integrated development model aims to bridge this gap by delivering turnkey, premium-quality homes within the ₹50 lakh to ₹1 crore bracket, offering greater convenience, quality assurance, and value to discerning buyers.
