HSVP Builds 11 New Sectors for Growing Gurugram

The Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), the state's urban planning agency, is embarking on an ambitious plan to develop 11 new residential sectors within Gurugram district, encompassing Gurugram city, Sohna, Pataudi, and Farrukhnagar. With a tentative allocation of 1,845 acres of land earmarked for this purpose, the agency aims to address the burgeoning housing needs in the region.

The initiative, sanctioned by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, underscores the government's commitment to expediting the acquisition of 5,000 acres of land statewide. To facilitate this, the authority will actively pursue the aggregation of land parcels for the development of residential sectors.

Various land parcels have been identified for inclusion in this development endeavor under the auspices of the land pooling policy. Notable areas include Sectors 68-70 (150 acres) and Sectors 36A and 37 (326.17 acres) in Gurugram, Sectors 32 and 34 (463 acres) in Sohna, Sector 3 (263 acres) in Farrukhnagar, and Sectors 2, 3, and 4 (643 acres) in Pataudi. These parcels will be made available for consideration through options such as e-bhoomi, land pooling, or land partnership.

Under the land pooling policy, landowners have the opportunity to submit applications directly or through aggregators, expressing their interest in contributing land for the specified development purposes. Participating farmers or owners may opt to offer their land in exchange for saleable TDR (Transfer of Development Rights) rights. Through the e-bhoomi portal, farmers can independently offer their land to the state government for purchase or collaborate with listed aggregators. Additionally, landowners or aggregators must specify the rates at which they are willing to sell the land, facilitating a transparent and equitable process.
