Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has arrived in Mumbai for a three-day visit to attend India Chem 2026, a premier biennial event for the chemical and petrochemical sectors.
Spearheaded by Union Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister JP Nadda, the event serves as a platform for Majhi to engage with over 20 major industry leaders. The state aims to capitalize on its recent momentum—having secured Rs 1.93 lakh crore in investment proposals across 56 companies, with a potential to create over 1.12 lakh jobs. Odisha will also highlight emerging prospects in coal gasification to diversify its industrial landscape beyond traditional mining and metallurgy.
