Gear Up, Meghalaya! NHIDCL Invites Bids to Fast-Track Mawlynkhung-Mawryngkneng Highway

National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL) has released an invitation for bids concerning the four-laning project for the Mawlynkhung-Mawryngkneng section under NH(O)-NE in Meghalaya.

The initiative involves the expansion of the Mawlynkhung to Mawryngkneng stretch to a four-lane configuration with paved shoulders in Meghalaya. This development spans from design km 0+000 to km 20+000, known as Shillong Eastern Bypass PKG-1, covering a distance of 20 km. The comprehensive scope of work encompasses the rehabilitation, upgradation, and augmentation of the existing carriageway. It includes the construction of new pavement, rehabilitation of the existing pavement, as well as the construction and/or rehabilitation of major and minor bridges, culverts, road intersections, interchanges, drains, and other necessary components.

The Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for this project is estimated at Rs 968.15 crore, with a stipulated completion deadline of 36 months.

Interested parties are required to submit their bids by the deadline of 22 February 2024.
