The National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL) is inviting bids for the upgrade and completion of the remaining work on the section extending from Middle Strait to Humphrey, and from Humphrey to Kadamtala, along NH-04 in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
This project falls under Package-IIIA and encompasses the rehabilitation and completion of the section from km 107.760 to km 129.445 (Middle Strait to Humphrey) and km 130.600 to km 138.300 (Humphrey to Kadamtala) to convert it into a two-lane road with a hard shoulder.
The selected bidder will be entrusted with the responsibility of designing, engineering, procurement, and construction for the entire project. The scope of work includes the construction of new pavement, rehabilitation of existing pavement, construction and/or rehabilitation of major and minor bridges, culverts, road intersections, interchanges, drains, and other related infrastructure.
The project is scheduled to be completed within an 18-month timeframe, with an estimated cost of Rs 103.8 crore. Maintenance activities will be carried out during the defect liability period, which spans 10 years from the date of completion for all standalone structures, including major bridges.
Interested parties are required to submit their bids by the closing date of 03 January 2024.
