Dilip Buildcon Limited (DBL) has been declared the lowest bidder (L-1) for the four-laning of the Paramakudi–Ramanathapuram section of National Highway 49 (New NH87) in Tamil Nadu.
The project, issued by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), covers a stretch of 46.665 km and will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) at an estimated cost of ₹879.30 crore. Construction is expected to be completed within 24 months, followed by an operation and maintenance period of 15 years from the Commercial Operation Date (COD).
The initiative aims to enhance road infrastructure and travel efficiency across southern Tamil Nadu, improving connectivity, commuter safety, and regional economic growth. Once operational, the upgraded four-lane corridor will serve as a key link facilitating smoother transportation and trade movement in the region.
