Madhya Pradesh is advancing a ₹4,000-crore project to build a six-lane greenfield expressway on a new alignment between Bhopal and Indore. Aiming to reduce travel time to 2.5 hours, the state government is considering funding and executing the project independently to ensure timely completion ahead of the 2028 Simhastha in Ujjain, while driving regional industrial and economic development.
