MSRDC Unveils Economic Nodes for Samruddhi Expressway

The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has embarked on a development initiative along the completed stretch of the Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi Expressway. The objective is to create economic nodes in strategic locations to harness the economic potential of different regions, attract investments, and foster overall development.

Specifically, two nodes are proposed in the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, and one each in Nashik and Ahmednagar. The locations identified for economic nodes are Gaigaon and Jambhargaon, along with Dhotre Babtara on the Vaijapur-Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar stretch. Additionally, nodes are planned at Wavi on the Sinnar-Nashik route and Savli Vihir on the Rahata-Ahmednagar stretch.

The move is significant as the existing Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) areas in the district are reportedly nearing saturation. The proposed economic nodes aim to cater to the future expansion needs of local industries, providing a platform for growth and attracting investments.

The Maharashtra Association of Small-Scale Industries and Agriculture (MASSIA) has been actively involved, with MSRDC seeking land requirements from local industries interested in participating in these economic nodes.

The strategic placement of these nodes along key stretches of the expressway is likely to enhance connectivity and accessibility, making them attractive hubs for industrial and economic activities. This initiative aligns with the broader goal of promoting regional development, optimizing economic potential, and creating opportunities for businesses in Maharashtra.
