State-owned power major NTPC Limited has announced that its subsidiary, NTPC Green Energy Limited, will commence commercial supply of 150 MW from a 300 MW solar power project in Rajasthan starting April 18, 2026.
According to a regulatory filing, the project is being developed by Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of the joint venture ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited.
The commissioning of the initial 150 MW marks an important milestone in the project’s phased rollout. With this addition, NGEL’s total installed capacity is set to increase to 10,276.40 MW.
The development further strengthens NTPC’s renewable energy portfolio and aligns with its broader strategy to expand in the clean energy segment.
