NLC India Ltd (NLCIL), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise, has successfully commissioned the full 300 MW capacity of its Barsingsar Solar Power Project in Bikaner district, Rajasthan.
Developed under the CPSU Scheme of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), the project marks a major milestone for NLCIL. The first phase of 52.83 MW was commissioned in August 2025, followed by 106 MW in November 2025. With the commissioning of the remaining capacity, the project has become one of NLCIL’s largest solar power initiatives.
With the entire 300 MW now operational, NLCIL’s total renewable energy capacity has increased to 1,766 MW, taking its overall installed power generation capacity to 7,726 MW. The project uses domestically manufactured high-efficiency solar photovoltaic modules, supporting the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative and contributing to India’s sustainable growth and energy security.
Commenting on the achievement, Chairman and Managing Director Prasanna Kumar Motupalli said, “The successful commissioning of the entire 300 MW Barsingsar Solar Power Project is a significant milestone in NLC’s renewable energy journey.”
