Epic Energy has announced a significant development in the renewable energy sector with its new agreement with Niva Ecotech to establish a 35 MWp solar park in Solapur, Maharashtra. This project, facilitated by Epic Renewable Projects—a wholly-owned subsidiary of Epic Energy—marks a substantial step forward in expanding India’s solar energy capabilities.
The solar park will be strategically located across several sites in and around Solapur. Epic Energy and Niva Ecotech are currently in advanced discussions with various corporates to implement solar energy solutions under the group captive open access system. This collaborative effort aims to enhance the availability and accessibility of solar power for businesses and contribute to the country's renewable energy goals.
As an Energy Service Company (ESCO) recognized by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Government of India, Epic Energy brings significant expertise to the project. The company’s commitment to expanding its solar footprint aligns with broader national objectives to increase the share of renewable energy in India's power mix.
The partnership will not only bolster India’s solar infrastructure but also support the transition to cleaner energy sources. The development of this solar park reflects Epic Energy’s ongoing efforts to drive innovation and sustainability within the energy sector.
With the planned 35 MWp capacity, this initiative is set to play a crucial role in meeting growing energy demands while promoting environmental stewardship. The project’s progress will be closely watched as it represents a key milestone in the advancement of solar energy in India.
