Inox Wind's three MW Wind Turbine Generator (WTG), featuring a booster capacity of up to 3.3 MW, has secured its position in the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers (RLMM), recently issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). This significant achievement signifies the commercial availability of the WTG.
The turbine will be offered in various hub height variants, including 100 meters, 120 meters, and 140 meters. Developed in collaboration with AMSC as the technology partner, this WTG boasts one of the lowest levelized costs of energy per unit, contributing to reduced production, transport, logistics, and installation expenses, thereby establishing a sustainable advantage in the Indian market. With a substantial volume of orders exceeding 550 MW and the RLMM endorsement, Inox Wind is poised for a substantial increase in manufacturing and turbine supply to meet the surging demand.
The RLMM listing marks a crucial milestone for the company, facilitating an expedited supply chain and positioning WTGs as a key driver for growth. In addition, Inox Wind's strategic plans for the next decade align with India's Aatmanirbhar vision, supporting the country's ambitious target of achieving 140 GW of wind capacity by 2030.
