Khavda Solar Grows: NGEL Fires Up 14.43 MW Segment

NTPC Green Energy Ltd. (NGEL) has successfully commenced commercial operations of an additional 14.43 MW of solar capacity at its Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat.

This addition represents the eleventh segment of the overall 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project, which is being developed under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II, Tranche-III. The new capacity was commissioned on February 10, 2026, at 00:00 hours. The project is being implemented by NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of NGEL, and forms a key part of the NTPC Group’s renewable energy expansion strategy.

With the commissioning of this capacity, NGEL’s total commercial renewable energy capacity has increased to 8,827.68 MW, further consolidating its position among India’s leading renewable power producers.
