State-run energy giant NTPC has fully commissioned its 220 MW Shajapur Solar Project (Unit-II) in Madhya Pradesh, following the commercial operationalisation of the final 120 MW segment. This milestone was confirmed through a regulatory filing, marking the project's complete readiness as of 29 June 2025.
The project was developed by NTPC Renewable Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy—NTPC’s dedicated renewable arm. With this achievement, NTPC Renewable Energy continues to advance India’s clean energy ambitions and plays a vital role in expanding the nation's renewable power capacity.
This commissioning further reinforces NTPC’s growing green portfolio and highlights its leadership in India’s energy transition, with a strong focus on solar and wind initiatives under its green subsidiaries.
