Solarium Green Energy has announced its return to solar module manufacturing with the launch of a state-of-the-art, 1000 MW fully automated facility in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The project involves a capital expenditure of ₹70 crore, funded through a 3:1 debt-to-equity ratio, and is slated to become operational by Q4 of FY26. At 85% capacity utilization, the facility is projected to generate annual revenues exceeding ₹1,000 crore through open market module sales.
This strategic move marks a key step in Solarium’s backward integration plan, aimed at improving supply chain resilience, minimizing cost fluctuations, and enhancing margins by 5–8% for its internal EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.
“Our re-entry into manufacturing will bring strong synergies to our operations,” said Ankit Garg, Chairman and Managing Director. “This aligns with Solarium’s integrated approach to solar energy solutions.”
The new plant will manufacture Crystalline Silicon Solar PV Modules, incorporating advanced technologies such as TOPCon, half-cut, and bifacial cells. It will utilize high-end imported equipment—tabber-stringers, laminators, and sun simulators—to ensure high efficiency and superior quality.
In parallel, Solarium is also expanding into structure manufacturing at its Bavla facility and has partnered with WattPower Systems to distribute solar inverters in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
