Shaktinagar's Deadline: KPCL's RTPS Unit 1 Bid Open Now

Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) has issued a tender for the comprehensive restoration and life extension of Unit 1 (210 MW) at the Raichur Thermal Power Station (RTPS) in Shaktinagar, Raichur district.

The project scope includes dismantling damaged structures and equipment, followed by design, engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance. It also covers inspection and testing at the supplier’s facility, along with supply, packing, transportation, insurance, unloading, storage, and site handling. Additionally, the work involves replacement, restoration, civil construction, erection, commissioning, steam-blowing trials, and performance testing of mechanical, electrical, control & instrumentation systems, as well as other structural components.

The contract is valued at ₹250.72 crore and includes a warranty period for all supplied systems.

The deadline for bid submission is April 4, 2025.
