Giordano Launches Strategic Expansion in India of Rs 150 Crore

Global apparel and accessories brand Giordano is strategically targeting the Indian market with the goal of doubling its revenue to Rs 150 crore within the next three years.

With a primary focus on tier-II and tier-III markets, the company is set to expand its presence by doubling its point of sale (POS) to 100 in the upcoming year. Giordano is set to introduce two new lines: 'Giordano Women,' a casual wear collection for women, and 'Giordano Junior,' a dedicated brand for kids' apparel. Additionally, the company plans to broaden its accessories category in India by the second half of the next year.

Positioning itself as a 'bridge to premium' brand, Giordano's apparel range encompasses a diverse price range.

In line with its expansion strategy, the company aims to enhance its sourcing activities, with a quarter of the global sourcing directed towards India.

Giordano initially entered the Indian market in 2008 by importing apparel from overseas but withdrew in 2012. In 2019, the brand re-entered the domestic market with a comprehensive localization approach to sourcing, tailored to meet domestic needs. Currently operating through 50 POS in 23 cities, Giordano generates revenue from both apparel and accessories.
