Inside MP’s ₹164 Crore PM MITRA Textile Park Push

Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has accelerated infrastructure development work at the PM MITRA Park under the Government of India’s PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) scheme.

The Madhya Pradesh government has set a target of June 2027 for completing all internal and external infrastructure works to make the textile park fully operational for investors. Himanshu Prajapati stated that external connectivity infrastructure, including roads, water supply, and power connections up to the park boundary, has largely been completed.

Simultaneously, work on land levelling, utility infrastructure, and the construction of more than 10 kilometres of internal roads is progressing rapidly within the park. Neelam Shami Rao reviewed the progress of the project on May 14.

The state government has already spent ₹88 crore on external infrastructure and an additional ₹76 crore on internal development works. The integrated textile park will include plug-and-play industrial facilities, water treatment systems, and electrical substations aimed at strengthening India’s textile manufacturing competitiveness and attracting large-scale investments in the sector.
