NTPC Group has pushed its total installed power generation capacity past the 90k mark, reaching 90,899 MW after fully commissioning its 176 MW Solar PV Project in Ramagundam, Telangana. The final 41.6 MW phase went commercially live on June 30, 2026, marking the culmination of a multi-month, phased deployment.
The project originally kicked off its commercial operations on May 2 with an initial 100 MW, followed by a 34.4 MW addition later that month. Now fully operational, the facility stands as a testament to NTPC’s aggressive pivot toward green energy. Beyond expanding the company's commercial capacity to 89,819 MW, the Ramagundam project will play a critical role in reducing India's carbon footprint and feeding clean, reliable electricity into the national grid.
