Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced that the Rs 361 crore Integrated Solid Waste Management Project at Achan will be completed within 18 months. Currently in its tendering phase, the 800-tonne-per-day facility will feature composting, a bio-CBG plant, and modern environmental infrastructure to handle Srinagar's daily 550-tonne waste output and resolve legacy waste challenges.
