A Healthcare Oasis: The ₹1500 Crore Aster Medcity Takes Root in Kerala

D M Medcity Hospital India Private Limited is building a major healthcare facility in Cheranellur, Ernakulam. The ambitious Aster Medcity project intends to build a world-class multi-super specialty hospital, medical convention center, and hotel. This ₹1500 crore healthcare project is one of the largest in the region and will be built in phases. 

The 1170-bed hospital would provide advanced medical facilities across several specializations to Kerala and surrounding states and nations. A 500-person medical convention center is a major aspect of this project. This convention center will host medical conferences, seminars, and workshops for global healthcare experts to share expertise.  

The Medcity complex will also have a hotel. This hotel will house patients, their families, and medical tourists that visit Aster Medcity for treatment. Aster Medcity should improve Kerala's healthcare facilities and medical tourism. The hospital will draw patients from India and outside with its state-of-the-art facilities and wide variety of medical services, making Kerala a regional medical hub. 

The project will also create many direct and indirect healthcare, hospitality, and associated jobs, helping Ernakulam and the surrounding area grow economically. It will also cultivate healthcare talent and expertise in the region by providing skill development and training.
