A New Digital Horizon: Lodha's ₹30,000 Crore Project

The Government of Maharashtra has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lodha Developers to develop a 370-acre Green Integrated Data Centre Park in Palava City, Dombivli, near Mumbai, with an estimated investment of ₹30,000 crore.

Situated in Ambernath, Thane district, the project will offer a planned capacity of 2 gigawatts and is expected to create around 6,000 jobs. It aligns with Maharashtra’s Green Integrated Data Centre Parks Policy, introduced in 2024, following the state's 2019 decision to designate data centres as a thrust sector for industrial development. The initiative addresses the surging demand for large-scale, energy-efficient digital infrastructure, driven by rapid growth in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and digital services.

Powered by green and alternative energy sources, the park aims to establish Maharashtra as a leading hub for sustainable digital infrastructure in India. Abhishek Lodha, Managing Director and CEO of Lodha Developers, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to net zero operations and India’s long-term vision for global digital leadership by 2047.
