ACME Solar Reaches Major Wind Power Milestone in Gujarat!

ACME Solar Holdings has achieved a major milestone in its debut wind energy project at Shapar, Gujarat. Following the commissioning of an initial 26.4 MW in May 2025, the company has now added 19.8 MW, bringing the total commissioned capacity to 46.2 MW out of the planned 50 MW. Full commissioning is expected within days.

With this addition, ACME Solar’s total operational renewable energy capacity has reached 2,826.2 MW. Located in one of India’s prime wind zones, the project is developed by ACME Pokhran, a special purpose vehicle of the company, and financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC). It operates under a 25-year power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL).

The project was executed using ACME’s in-house EPC capabilities, enabling efficient delivery and improved margins. Power is pooled at a 33/220 kV station and evacuated via a dedicated 220 kV line to the Shapar substation. This infrastructure will also support ACME’s upcoming wind project in the region, currently in advanced construction.
