ACME Solar Secures ₹1,100 Crore Boost from SBI

ACME Solar Holdings has secured ₹1,100 crore in domestic financing from the State Bank of India (SBI) for its 300 MW operational renewable energy project in Rajasthan.

Structured as a refinancing deal with a tenure of approximately 17 years, the funding is expected to lower borrowing costs by nearly 100 basis points, enhancing the project’s overall financial efficiency. Operational for the past six months, the Rajasthan plant has consistently demonstrated a strong capacity utilisation factor (CUF), reinforcing its performance credibility.

The refinancing aligns with ACME’s broader strategy to optimise debt servicing, strengthen its credit profile, and pursue potential rating upgrades. The reduced debt burden will also support the company’s expansion plans across its diverse portfolio, which includes 2,890 MW of operational assets spanning solar, wind, hybrid, and storage-based renewable solutions.

This move not only reinforces lender confidence in ACME’s asset performance and long-term viability but also strengthens the company's financial foundation as it scales its renewable energy pipeline nationwide.
