ACME Solar Holdings has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NHPC Ltd. to supply 250 MW of electricity from a firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project in Rajasthan. The agreement is priced at a tariff of ₹4.56 per kWh, with performance guarantees that include a minimum annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) of 40% and a commitment to meet 90% of peak power demand for four hours daily.
The project uniquely integrates solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems to deliver reliable and round-the-clock renewable power, contributing to India’s clean energy transition. Power will be evacuated through the existing Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS), enabling efficient grid connectivity.
The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) approved the tariff on 19 June 2025, under Section 63 of the Electricity Act, 2003.
This agreement enhances ACME Solar’s leadership in the FDRE segment, bringing its total PPA-signed capacity to 5,130 MW, of which 2,826.2 MW is operational. The company’s total renewable energy portfolio now stands at 6,970 MW, with 86% of its capacity tied to central government entities, and the remainder with state distribution companies.
