ACME Solar Holdings plans to expand its renewable energy capacity to 5 GW by March 2026, investing ₹17,000 crore starting April 2024.
As of H2 FY25, the company’s total portfolio stands at 6,720 MW, including 2,540 MW operational and 4,180 MW under construction. ACME targets further expansion to ~7 GW by FY27. In Q2 FY25, its operational capacity grew to 2,540 MW, up from 1,340 MW in Q1 FY25. Of this, 67% is allocated to central offtakers and the rest to state offtakers. Capacity utilization improved from 23.3% in H1 FY24 to 24.6% in H1 FY25, while plant availability increased slightly to 99.3%.
While ACME’s current portfolio is entirely solar, its under-construction projects include solar, wind, FDRE, and hybrid models. A major boost to its operational capacity came from the commissioning of a 1,200 MW ISTS-connected solar plant in Jaisalmer, operating under a 25-year contract with SECI. The plant’s capital expenditure is ₹4,400 per watt-hour, with an additional ₹1,000 crore allocated for one-hour storage integration.
In FY25, ACME secured 1,900 MW of new capacity, bringing its total contracted portfolio to 6,970 MW.
