Adani Energy Solutions Acquires SPV for 1230 MW Power Evacuation

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd. (AESL) has acquired Mahan Transmission Ltd. (MTL), a special purpose vehicle (SPV) designed to facilitate the evacuation of 1,230 MW of power from Adani Power’s upcoming 1,600 MW expansion project at Mahan in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh.

On March 26, 2025, AESL signed a share purchase agreement with REC Power Development and Consultancy to acquire 100% equity in MTL. The acquisition has now been completed, with MTL having an authorized and paid-up share capital of ₹5 lakh. Incorporated in India, MTL was registered with the Registrar of Companies, New Delhi, on November 20, 2024.

This acquisition aligns with AESL’s growth strategy, leveraging both organic and inorganic opportunities to enhance shareholder value. By integrating MTL into its portfolio, AESL aims to strengthen its transmission infrastructure, improve power evacuation efficiency, and contribute to the stability and capacity of the state grid.
